Got the 'manager's special' bacon-wrapped loin ends into the crockpot with carrots and onions. As it was a cool and grey day I spent it poking about on the internet. For supper I cut up half the pork, removed the onion, excess broth and fat, and added a can of navy beans with the pork to the crockpot. While the beans heated I whipped up some cornbread to go with it. Tasted like beans and pork hocks without all the fat and bones, nom-nom. Tomorrow I'll get another can of navy beans, scrape the fat off the cooled broth and cut up the rest of the pork to extend what was left in the pot today. I'll also stop at the store and see if the manager is having any more specials.
