After some more poking about the garage putting out the water hoses for the new grass and making plans for the sale of stuff Thursday-Friday which included remounting doors on the entertainment center and handles on the recliner-sofa we headed out to see the new Star Trek movie which we found very satisfactory. We're already making plans for a second viewing; Leofwyna commented as we were leaving, "I didn't see the tribble!" I'm sure there's lots of 'nods' to the previous Star Treks we missed in the excitement of a first viewing and at least one more viewing to watch for these is called for.
Oh, and Leofwyna found the cord for the nicest of Little Sister's three televisions. Now, once we arrange to get that one downstairs (it's f-n heavy!), we'll have a 27" screen tv in our 'new' entertainment center. We'll put our 19" Magnavox upstairs in the dining area.
MONDAY
I spent most of the day running my job search tasks for this week; got a few fresh contacts going out. Leofwyna succeeded in selling the recliner-sofa and matching love seat to a work acquaintance so we'll use that money to buy change for the sale itself. I remembered to call in our ads first thing and was thankfully in good time for that. Leofwyna made a beef-sweet potato-apricot tajine in the crock pot for our supper. It's a good thing she liked it 'cause she made a double batch and I don't much care for it. Some of it goes into the freezer so she doesn't have to eat it every day for two weeks!
