Picked up the four tapes for transcription and got started on the first one this afternoon; worked on it off and on the rest of the evening, too.  OMG this is going to drag on.  Scientists talking about ashfall (lava crystals) and fossil moss in Antartica; it's gotta get better than this to make an interesting program. 

For a change of pace during the afternoon I made a list of the 19 blazers, jackets and coats we have for sale.  There's certainly some nice things there.

The lawyer called Leofwyna today and she made an appointment for us Thursday.  Apparently the court letter has arrived allowing us to to go over Little Sister's bills and make arrangements to pay them.

The court parts and cleaning out the estate are the worst parts. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this.

Well, it does interrupt the smooth flow of our lives but the alternative could have been much, much worse. Leofwyna and I have agreed that once we have this cleared up we'll make sure our paperwork at least is organized and in a pre-determined location. Since we own the house together there won't be the pack up and move quickly situation to deal with alone when the time comes.

Damn, we just found out her ex's name hadn't been removed as beneficiary from her largest insurance policy. We're going to check out what can be done but it doesn't look good. Meanwhile, since they were divorced her bills comes out of the rest before anything else comes to us. We know that this wouldn't have been her intent but it probably just got overlooked amidst all the details. Something else to ask about tomorrow at the lawyer appointment.
