Finally got the application format working, finished the job application and sent it out. Still plenty of time to get dressed and downtown for the on-site typing test. Scored 75 wpm but with the sloppy keyboard had three errors... I know I caught three or four others as I went alongm, too. Now the long wait to see if I get a call for an interview. I worked at the LPD records bureau back in 1973-75 and really found the job to be highly interesting. Granted there will have been changes in procedures after this many years but the basic job should be very similar and I would really like to do this for the next 10-15 years.
SATURDAY
Today was our 'holiday' driving up to Omaha to hit the World Thrift stores there and eat wonderful food. We had our favorite lunch at Thai Pepper and our favorite dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We always order the same combinations and share appetizers and entrees for the variety. We both think the Thai Lettuce Wraps at Cheesecake Factory is the most perfect food anywhere!!!
Leofwyna found a lot of scrapbooking and Christmas stuff at the thrift stores and then went totally wild at Whole Foods at the end of the day. I found another old bed shirt with a cotton gauze foundation so I'll be having a new veil/headwrap.. mainly I behaved and talked myself out of things.
