Headed across town to get a blood draw done so there'll be no problem filling prescriptions next month. My veins had gone fugitive however; the gals poked in both arms until I said I'd be back later in the week. I'll drink an extra big glass of water Thursday morning before I go which may help the situation. They wanted to stab the hands but I said, no hands, uh-uh.
I stopped in at the south Goodwill where I found a great cotton teal-aqua border print skirt that'll make a great background fabric for a Nadelstern quilt; sort of a fireworks at night scene. I yearn to get back to quilting so perhaps the sewing area has a chance of getting pulled together this fall. Other bloggers I follow get their sewing areas redone in a month or two so I must just be really slow in this regard.
Tonight Leofwyna wanted to see the Leonid Meteor shower but we were overcast here. Watching the weather report on TV it looked like the system line was just north and west of us so we decided to go out looking for clear skies around 1am. About 45 minutes later we were looking at very bright stars in a fairly clear sky and we did each see a couple different meteors so we settled in for the show. It was blessed cold and not another single meteor did we see during the next half an hour so we headed home and I was in bed by 3am.
