I pushed water really hard this noon for the blood draw and apparently it made a huge difference. At 2pm the nurse found a BIG vein and used the regular needle without a hitch. It still left a nasty bruise on my inner arm but at least it was only one poke. I stopped at the library on the way home to pick up the first half of Days of Snow and Ashes on CD as I'm very nearly finished listening to The Fiery Cross.
I've been reading Bujold stories, too, and am amazed the library doesn't have any of her work. I've got to take several bags of paperbacks in to trade and hope I can find more Bujold books there.

Date: 2009-11-22 05:00 am (UTC)Now, seriously: Everyone makes a big deal about how one should stay hydrated during the summer months; but staying hydrated in the cooler weather is important, too. And if they can't poke you with a needle and get blood, you really should drink a bit more during the day. Do it for me, the Vatavian down here who likes you? Okay? Pretty please?
