SATURDAY

I've got my sleep cycle all messed up... go to bed and sleep 3-4 hours then wide awake so get up awhile util drowsey again.  Leofwyna waked me, wondering was I going to sleep through the day?  No, don't want to do that.  Helped Leofwyna put together the Christmas tree complete with lights and garlands.  She'll do the rest as the ornaments are her new cross stitch ornaments I helped her finish last weekend.  I also put in some time with the sample piecing and got another mission quilt top completed.

SUNDAY

Did get enough sleep but in two shifts again.  UP and get ready to go to Omaha, taking little sister Thanksgiving leftovers and running some errands and cleaning her apartment for her.  Was reassured that she hasn't been sick ALL of the past five weeks, just repetitive though.  That's still not good but not quite as bad as we were thinking it was.  Dr hasn't come up with a diagnosis though and that seems to be troubling him as much as us!

MONDAY

Woke up again after 5 hours; decided to get started on today's list and try to stay awake all day so I'll sleep FOR SURE tonight.  So here I'm journaling instead.  Bad me... back to getting busy.

THURSDAY

As it turned out little sister was sick Wednesday and decided to stay home and take it easy.   Leofwyna cooked up a lovely Thanksgiving dinner though and we both enjoyed it immensely together complete with flowers on the table and favorite fixin's.   We compared things to be thankful for and I think I struck a chord when I said she was the top of my thankful list this year!

We left the dishes for me to do Friday and went to the movie instead.  Went to see Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie.  Gotta say, I find the footchase scenes much more exciting than the car and boat chases; although they are exciting too.

FRIDAY

Today I was a good girl and did up all the dishes and caught up with exchequer paperwork [although there's a couple things I gotta take care of Monday so I don't forget 'em again].  Went to post office for stamps and then to pharmacy to try to pick up prescriptions.   Darned if the medical insurance isn't messed up again and nothing to do about it until Monday; means three days mostly no meds cause I've run out of all but one.  Finished up the day putting together most of two more quilt tops, neither of which is completely done.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY

Recently Leofwyna decided we must have a craft day to finish the cross-stitch ornaments she's been working on for the past twenty years.  There's roughly three dozen of them and it's thought that somewhere in the flood of samples we've been working with lately there must certainly be enough interesting Victorian type fabrics to back these ornaments with.

So Saturday evening she had Valentino's pizza delivered for supper, brought home a couple movies and we commenced with the craft session.  It soon developed that while she applied tassels, charms and buttons and matched up fronts with backs that I would spray-glue fronts to backs and carefully snip away the excess.  This later step is extremely fiddly and laborious.  We put in about eight hours Saturday night and another nine hours today.  We're not toally finished but perhaps 90 percent done.   I must confess these ornaments are extremely attractive and I'm eager to see how the Christmas tree looks with 'em on it.

The push to complete this project is because we decorate for Christmas shortly after Thanksgiving and plans for the coming weekend is to clean house, decorate and pre-cook for Thanksgiving dinner with the other sister.  Leofwyna lo-o-o-oves holidays and goes all out over them.  Personally I love holidays for the leisure they represent to me... the leisure sometimes doesn't present itself however with Leofwyna on the scene.  Oh well, the eats are certainly good and a day of table games is lots of fun.
